There will be more outdoor luminaires applications with wind-solar

Wind-solar outdoor luminaires are an emerging field of new energy utilization, which can not only reduce the dependence on conventional electricity for urban lighting, but also provide a new solution for rural lighting. In recent years, more than 100 companies in China have announced that they have invested in this, and complementary wind and outdoor luminaires projects have been launched in various places. Obviously, this market is not as big as wind and solar, and most of them are small and medium-sized companies that are smart. Scenery complementary outdoor luminaires industry has quickly caused a tumult, but mainstream commercial applications are still being explored.

The total number of existing outdoor luminaires in China is about 200 million, and it is growing at a rate of 20% per year. outdoor luminaires work 12 hours a day and will save 150 billion kWh of electricity in one year. The Three Gorges Hydropower Station generated 84 billion kWh of electricity in 2010. Therefore, after all the 200 million outdoor luminaires in the country were replaced with wind and solar hybrid outdoor luminaires, the power saved was equivalent to the annual power generation of 1.8 Three Gorges Hydropower Stations.

The global environment is deteriorating, and all countries are developing clean energy. With the rapid economic development in China for more than 30 years, the power supply has been unable to keep up. At the same time, a large number of thermal power plants have also caused environmental pollution. China has abundant wind and solar energy resources. outdoor luminaires are used as outdoor devices. The combination of the two makes a wind-solar complementary outdoor luminaires, which undoubtedly provide a good solution for the country’s energy conservation and emission reduction. A set of 400-watt conventional outdoor luminaires consumes more than 1,000 kilowatts a year, which is equivalent to consuming more than 400 kilograms of standard coal. If replaced with 1000 sets of 150-watt complementary wind and outdoor luminaires with equivalent lighting effects, it can indirectly save millions of kWh a year and save more than 400 tons of standard coal. It can be seen that the development prospects of wind-solar complementary outdoor luminaires in the urban road lighting industry are very promising.
